So, you have a Facebook page and you want to promote your business. You have become friends with a lot of people and now you have a good size friend list. Or perhaps you are just getting started and only have a handful of friends. What are the best ways to effectively market your business on Facebook?
When you are marketing your MLM business, its always best to do it through attraction marketing or relationship marketing. The first thing you should do with a new Facebook friend is build trust with them. The more they trust you, the more they will be interested in what you are saying. This is how you get people to repsond to you.
Many people go about adding as many people as possible to their friends list and then spamming them on a daily basis. Like I said before, I too used to do this. My friend list meant absolutely nothing! No one cared to read my posts. You can tell how interactive someone is with their friends by going to their wall and reading the conversations that are happening. I recently checked out one of my friends wall. She has about 4000 friends. Her wall was full of spammy type information about conference calls for her business opportunity. There was no conversations happening between people. No one was responding to her posts.
Below are four simple steps that you can follow if you want to promote your MLM business on Facebook.
1. Do not spam people with your opportunity or product you are promoting. This is the single most fast way to have people unfriend you.
2. When you become a friend to someone new take the time to find out about your new Facebook friend. Take a look at their profile, look at their photos and make comments on these. Find points of commonality that you have with this new Facebook friend. Then take the time to send them a personal message. Thank them for their friendship. Let them know what it is you have in common. Then ask them a question about themselves. For instance you might say, “What do you do for a living?” or “I see you are a teacher, what do you like best about your job?”. Build relationships!
3. Content is king! Valuable content, that is! Find things that are relevant to your audience. Post those things. If you place links to your blog posts, only do this 1-2 times per day. Find things that your friends are interested in and post those. Strike up conversations.
4. Personal comments are also very important. Make yourself look human instead of like a spam machine. Post your victories and triumphs. Make sure you comment on other peoples’ posts as well. COMMUNICATE with your Facebook friends.
The most important thing you can do to promote your MLM business on Facebook is to build relationships with your Facebook friends and communicate with them. Do not spam them every day! Be friends first.
