Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Most internet marketers would agree that using videos to communicate with potential customers, business partners, and prospects is a very good idea. However, you may be wondering how to produce a video that will allow you to effectively communicate with these groups. Here are a few critical things to remember when making your video marketing presentations:

* Keep it Short and Sweet: Do not make videos that are longer than 5 minutes long. The goal of the video is to attract prospects, but most people will not sit and watch a long video presentation, so make sure you stay on the topic and get to the point.

* Give Value and Substance in Your Message: A great part of using video marketing is the ability to allow your audience to put a face with the message. If you use this to your advantage by being enthusiastic and interesting, your message will that much more effective. Understand that the goal is to get the viewer to take an additional action after they hear your message. Perhaps that action is to visit your website or opt-in to your mailing list. The way to accomplish this is by giving content that leads to the need for even more information. Let’s suppose that you are making a video about funded proposal marketing. You will initially make a video content about an overview of the funded proposal marketing process. However, in order for a viewer to create their own successful funded proposal marketing funnel, they must understand capture pages, autoresponders, etc. Offer to give your viewers access to this additional information after they take action and enter your marketing funnel. Make sure your content creates questions; that is a real key.

* Solve the Viewer’s Problem; Give them More Information: Since you now know that it is too your benefit to develop video content that requires your prospect to get additional info, you must make sure that you offer them a way to get the answers that they need for their success. One way to do this is by allowing them to return to your website or opt-in to your mailing list via a capture page. Giving your prospects valuable information will drive traffic to your websites and capture pages, and eventually build your downline.

Remember these tips when you are making your marketing videos. The most important thing is to get started and keep going. The more video content that you give to your target audience, the more positive results you will achieve. I wish you tremendous success with all of your marketing endeavors.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Customers are the life blood of any business and communicating to them and hearing back from them is critical. Small businesses, just like many large corporations, can use social media to promote their brand and for customer relations. Online sites such as Twitter can be used to connect with customers and friends and to build a loyal following.

Individuals use their network of friends and associates to share information. A home based business can take the same approach. Salespeople can use multi-level marketing (MLM) to sell services or provide business opportunities to their local social network. Facebook users can view and share your fan pages, business and product pages where people express their feelings and receive updates and news.

Home based businesses can make their brand really well known using social networking tools. Consumers often like to talk about their favorite services and products and to feel like they are being treated as a special customer. Using Twitter or blog postings to share new product information, coupons, and special events gives your customers more connection to your business. The people in their network of friends and followers will also have access to your information.

When working out the home, it is always convenient to collaborate and interact with partners and teammates. Using your computer, meetings no longer have to be in person, many tools are available for virtual gatherings or sharing information. Work and social networks can overlap and you can share documents, idea, project status and pictures of fun family events.

LinkedIn, an example of a work or business related social media tool, is a web space where networks of professionals can provide work histories and resumes, recent projects, business information and statistics. A business referral can be created by just sharing a link. Prospects, sales associates, professional association members and team members can be invited to join your professional network.

As small or home based businesses begin to share information and opportunities using social media, customers and peers have more opportunities to understand your brand. Some brands appeal to customers by offer exclusive offers shared in tweets. Other brands are built by customer comments and online dialogues about product features. Your customers will not have to wonder about your product and business stand for, you can keep them informed about that.

Any home based business can benefit from effectively using social media, just like any well known brand or product. Signing on with Twitter and sending out a tweet to your customers can remind them that you are there and ready to do business. Friends and work associates will know where to find you and what your business is all about.
