How To Deal Effectively In Front Of The Camera?
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011I know lots of people are scared with that and for me personally when I first setup, I was exactly the same. I was worried about how my hair would seem, I was worried about how my shirt would fit, I was worried about how I talk, all of that type of stuff. And it was nerve-racking. But before long, after rehearsing, after doing this often, I felt much more at ease. And it’s just like public speaking or getting onstage and talking to people in a large crowd.
Even today actually I still get worried communicating facing an audience of many people so it goes to show that it’s not something which just comes naturally. But what I wished to reveal to you inside this video today is to offer some ideas regarding how to be able to make videos and be at ease looking at the camera and it’s very much applying thing. It’s not something which will just come effortlessly to you but after you get the hang of it, it will become very easy and that’s how I’m fortunate to produce a lot of videos in a short time because I can just hop in front of the camera and just share with you my knowledge and tips regarding how to do it.
If you’re not at ease with doing the camera first, that’s good. Script it out. Jot down some notes. However the most important thing is just jot down an overview or guide so this way you don’t get mentally empty. You could stand in front of the camera and communicate using your guides. And it’s okay if you’ve got to appear at the script here, it’s okay to scan it off sometimes but ensure that you have your full attention with the camera. Second tip I would like to give you is imagine like there is a person looking at you like a friend whom you are speaking with. And it’ll be like gazing or speaking with somebody like you’re introducing them to the first time about a certain issue.
The third tip I want to give you is transform into interview style and it’s actually not that difficult to do. So once more, it’s very similar to number two except that you don’t have to appear facing the camera, you could actually look at the side which is what I’m going to do at this time and pretend there’s someone facing you. And have a list of questions or you’re pre-prepped.
So as you could see that wasn’t that difficult. You could stand in front of the camera, facing at a different angle and get an interview type of style. So that is my third tip there and really there’s not much more that I can offer in terms of how to overcome the fear of that but I think what is important is rehearsing. And overtime, after you become at ease to get facing the camera and communicate and reveal ideas like this it will become much, much easier I can guarantee you do that because actually, I’ve accomplished it. This is how I speak everyday, I communicate to my wife like this as well so before too long it will become very easy to be able to connect with you and I hope that’s how you feel when you watch these videos with me.
